Gallery Ideas

In looking at how I'd like to show the work in a gallery setting, I start to get excited about how the pieces will interact with each other. They all command so much themselves and their culmination will ultimately lead to a strengthening of the message of the "Generation of Warriors" thesis.

Installing a Ballot box sound based piece, a Television screen based piece, participatory helmets, and the interactive video projection all in the same space will be tough, but ultimately rewarding. I'm excited to get into a space and start bringing these pieces together to let them breathe and tussle with one and other.

Finding a space is proving a bit more difficult that I expected.

I always learn more when things prove to be difficult.

End of Production

With the production part of my thesis finished up, I'm pretty amazed at how much I have accomplished. My thesis has gone in a slightly new direction with the adaptation of Different audio in the helmet piece. All of the feedback that I have received is really what has my confidence at the level that I'm at currently. The only thing still bothering me is a space and I'm going to try to tackle that as soon as possible. The next few weeks are dedicated to getting the helmets made and everything ready for when I get my space. I will of course still be tweaking concept, but all of the work from this latter half of the semester has payed off for my conceptual basis. I can see the end of the tunnel, now I just need to keep striving through to the end.
